The Woman: Petraeus Cuckold Wrote NY Times About Affair

Okay, now we have sex under the desk.

Well, why not? We already have a stupid YouTube video distraction as an excuse for an attack on a U.S. consulate, and the Iranians firing on one of our drones kept secret just days before the election. Why not a now-disgraced CIA director having sex under the desk?

The investigation began last spring, but the FBI then pored over his emails when he was stationed in Afghanistan.

The woman who was having an affair with Petraeus is a journalist who had been writing about him.

Given his top secret clearance and the fact that Petraeus is married, the FBI continued to investigate and intercept Petraeus’ email exchanges with the woman. The emails include sexually explicit references to such items as sex under a desk.

Such a relationship is a breach of top secret security requirements and could have compromised Petraeus.

At some point after Petraeus was sworn in as CIA director on Sept. 6, 2011, the woman broke up with him. However, Petraeus continued to pursue her, sending her thousands of emails over the last several months, raising even more questions about his judgment.

And now…

Gawker is now reporting that Paula Broadwell’s husband may have written a New York Times advice columnist about this affair as early as July 2012.

So we have the timing. The FBI on to this as early as last spring and someone at the NYT potentially having the whole thing dropped in his lap by July?

And none of it gets reported until two days after the election?

And just who were the feds investigating and why?

Not to be cynical or anything, but if someone, say, someone in the Obama administration, knew this before General Petraeus was first summoned to the Hill on September 14 to testify about the Benghazi scandal… Wait. Dang if they didn’t!

Naw, there we go speculating again.
