So NPR was wrong. The Marathon Bombers turned out not to be right wing Nazi radicals motivated by Hitler’s birthday. Sheesh! That one looked like a lock. After all, the U.S. has had so much trouble with Hitler Youth movements in the last… like never!
Instead, they are immigrants from Chechnya, one of the world’s most violent hotbeds of Islamist radicalism. Sources are saying the men, Tamerlan — the dead one with the suicide vest — and Dzhokhar — the “true angel” with the hand grenades — Tsarnaev have lived in America since 2000.
Let me get this straight. You’re from Mexico you can’t get into the United States legally without an act of Divine Providence. But Chechnya, no problemo?
Gee, just a thought, but since we are at war with something like 110 million Muslim extremists worldwide, and you never know which one may take up a career in suicide vest couture at any minute, might we not want to rethink our immigration policies, as they pertain to them?
The father of the young men — just a hardworking, salt-of-the-earth kind of stiff — is calling for his remaining son to turn himself in… and, just as an aside you understand, warned that if authorities kill him, well, it’s DEATH TO AMERICA!
Meantime, Chris Wallace at Fox News actually said something not even the slightest bit metrosexual this morning.
“There are so many issues here,” Wallace said, noting the various pieces of information we don’t know (such as: Did the suspects see the information the FBI released?). He then offered one an example of an issue “we’ll be talking about Sunday.”
“All the people in that Watertown neighborhood, hiding, doors locked,” Wallace began. “How many of them, do you think — and worried that this guy might get into their home, maybe take them hostage — how many of them, do you think, might like a gun? To be able to protect themselves and defend their homes.”
Alls we have to say, Chris, is there goes the Yale Club membership.
Later, Wallace raised the question of Islamic sleeper cells with the folks at Politico:
“It just raises again the fact that there are people out there who want to kill us. There are going to be questions about how they got into this country. They were apparently here legally, on a student visa. That’s going to raise questions. And the whole issue of these kind of homegrown, these — obviously if these turn out to be the people who did it — they were not domestic but they’d been in this country for a period of time. They didn’t come in like the 9/11 people a few weeks before. And it raises the possibility of these sleeper cells, that’s one issue.”
Well, yes, Chris. Having a gun around the house —even an “assault weapon” with a 30-round magazine — doesn’t sound too extreme, when you realize that under Dianne Feinstein’s bill only the Rolling 30s Crips and incubating Muslim radicals, who will buy them from the Rolling 30s Crips, would have them.
Whether Wallace intended to or not, he has made the conservative argument on two of the most important issues of our time. First, whom do we allow into the country, how many, and when?
The events in Boston should be a warning that the immigration breakdown isn’t only on the U.S.-Mexico border. Just how long are we going to play Sort the Muslims? These guys need to fix their religion before we allow any more of them into the country.
And, finally, just who will protect us when we are no longer able to protect ourselves?
