You know where this is going, right? The MSM must have a head before they can splash Barry-O with holy water and pronounce our ‘national nightmare’ over.
Eric Holder’s attempt to save his job by repairing his image with the media through a series of off-the-record meetings with several news organizations is backfiring in a major way. While ABC News and Politico have agreed to attend, CNN, McClatchy, the Associated Press, New York Times, and Huffington Post have all made very public statements declaring they will boycott the meeting.
Last week, after news broke that Holder had personally signed the application to obtain the warrant to seize Fox News reporter James Rosen’s personal emails and phone records, the left-leaning Huffington Post called for Holder’s resignation.
It looks as though Holder has stumbled dramatically in his attempt at damage control. Rather than do the smart thing with a round-robin of contrite on-the-record interviews with these news outlets, Holder stupidly put them on the spot. [Read]
It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the MSM. By attending this meeting they are essentially kicking the AP under the bus in blind allegiance to a president who couldn’t manage an AM-PM minimart after a saturation course in cash register operation.
Holder’s head will most likely roll regardless of any press briefing, on- or off-record, but the tactic is unlikely to work. It is doubtful any tactic will work because this administration has been seeded for scandal.

There is another head that has to roll before Obama can begin to rid himself of the mismanagement that has defined his presidency from day one.
Mojo is convinced that Obama turned the keys to the White House over to Valerie Jarrett long ago, and that her Chicago management style has brought this misery to the president’s door.
These tactics—Benghazi, IRS Targeting, AP-Rosen—somebody has been at the switch while Obama and Mooch gallivanted the planet slurping umbrella cocktails. It has to be Jarrett. Why else would a titleless senior advisor to the president need a full Secret Service detail?
Not that Obama isn’t fully complicit; his approval has no doubt been on every move the administration has made from the beginning. But Obama is little more than a rhetoric mill; the real thinking comes from someone else.
Go all the way back to Deepwater Horizon; by waiting nine days to act, the administration sent Americans a message: BIG OIL IS EVIL. It’s the gift that has kept on giving.
And we have seen these not-so-subtle tactics work all the way up to the FAA sequestration slowdown. Show Americans how evil Republican policies are, and they will roll with us.
It has backfired.
Eric Holder is a brown-shirt and has been since he worked in Janet Reno’s Justice Department in the 1990s, but his head on a platter will not end Obama’s woes.
What we are seeing here is the Full Jarrett.
